Slurry/Hazardous Fluid Media Packing
Carboflon RI405 a Pure carbon packing with dense infusion of P.T.F.E to attain virtually zero Leak in pumps handling aggressive and abrasive fluid media. It is found in our industry that normally pumps handling process media or aggressive media namely caustic, solvents, Hydrocarbons, etc. have a tendency to Eat away the lubricants used in the manufacturing process of the packing as a result the packing becomes hard and leakage starts. Also, all conventional packing are know to cause damage to the sleeve of the pump once they become hard, which enhances the chances of leakage.
Solution with Carboflon RI 405
Due to the nature of the packing, which is made using pure carbon fibers with dense infusion of P.T.F.E. it has got excellent resistance to aggressive media namely Acids, Alkalis, Solvents, Caustic, Hydrocarbons, etc. And due to the high mechanical strength it has got excellent resistance to abrasive media like grit, metallic slurry, ash slurry, sand slurry, saline water, etc. Even though the packing is having high mechanical strength it does not damage the sleeve, which helps enhance the packing as well as the life of the sleeve.
