This is a non asbestos packing, braided from synthetic fibers made from a blend of fluoropolmers and graphite particles. This blend provides a good self lubricating agent and dissipates the heat due to which there is no expansion of the gland and hence no pressure is exerted on the sleeve of the pump. This packing has a low coefficient of friction and hence does not harden or heat up.

Service conditions:
This packing is recommended for caustics, acids, chemicals, detergents, oils, dyes, solvent and distilleries. Due to the strength in the fibres, the packing gives good wear resistance at high pressure. This packing cannot be used with strong oxidizing agents.
