This is non asbestos packing, braided from synthetic fibers made from pure graphite material. This is a soft, light weight, flexible packing having good plasticity and seals very efficiently at extreme temperature and pressure conditions. This packing is non corrosive, self lubricating and gives a frictionless sealing providing good life to the packing and sleeve. This packing is an anti abrasion packing.
Service conditions:
This packing is a very versatile packing and can handle a wide range of chemicals as well as acids, alkalis, saline water, organic solvents, oils, carbon tetrachloride, chlorobenzene, chloroform and trifluoromethane. This packing is suited for High pressure steam applications. Not suitable for pumps handling nitric acid.
